I'd have S&W refinish it. A factory re-finish shouldn't hurt the value if you even care about that. All my guns are shooters, life is too short to have safe queens. BTW; we need a pic!

Thanks for the links. While I like the Milt Sparks holsters, I have no desire to wait 8 months to a year before I receive my holster. I don't mind waiting a few weeks. I'm looking at Mitch Rosen's express line now.

Anybody know who makes nice leather holsters specifically for the 340pd? I have a galco stinger for 2 1/8" j-frames right now and while it works I wouldn't mind having a holster that fits perfectly.

I shoot 125 gr. Remington Golden Saber Magnums out of my 340PD. I tried the 158gr loads and have to say it's brutal to say the least. The 125gr ammo is not much worse then 38 special +P.

yea, I got lucky! Now I need to go into the woods and see how it shoots with Magnum loads!
