As happy as I am that I got to see the collection while it was on display in Boise, Idaho...I am a little sick that such an awe inspiring collection was broken up for something as vulgar as money.

Perhaps 1 in 20 primers will not land in the spent primer tray. Instead they seem to end up in my lap, so I started wearing a shop apron to catch them for easy disposal.

I'd say 28-3 are pretty uncommon. I have seen more 28-2s than anything else. A non-pinned and recessed Model 28 is a strange bird indeed.

I too had a similar problem and it turned out to be 50 year old light motor oil the owner lubed his guns with but never cleaned off before reapplying. Try Ed's Red like TAROMAN suggests. That should work.

Have you though about using .45 cal bullets used in the .45 Colt? 250 gr SWC are not much heavier and have the advantage of being a very good bullet for revolvers.

Was the barrel bulged further down?

I actually would like the grips the OP bought if they were brown or black and grey laminate. They seem real tough.
