    Recently inherited Mod 36

My mother purchased this pistol in 2013 to use as her CCW. She passed away in May, and I inherited it. S&W Model 36. Fairly pristine, except for ring on cylinder. Came with matching box, warranty card and paper. Serial number 508XXX. Am I correct in guessing 1965 as born on date? When new...

MawMaw Rose always made this for the kids/grandkids. I still enjoy a pitcher of Zatarain's from time to time. http://www.zatarains.com/Products/Spices-and-Extracts/Root%20Beer%20Extract.aspx

start 'em out when their young!

My son was pulling the handle, "Making Bullets" with daddy when he was 2 1/2. He loves to pull the trigger on his cricket too. Started out young but we continually preach and practice safety with him.

First Time Reloader: What am I missing...

I am by no means an expert, but I'd add this: Try to find someone nearby that reloads, talk to them and/or "test drive" their set up.

    Best Line-up: 38Sp. +P and 357; or, two 357's?

+1 on the 38/357 and 44 spl/magnum, I recently ( in the last year) have personally discovered the joy of shooting .44 specials, specifically thru a Win 1894 lever gun. A+

Do you load more older powders or new?

I only use Unique and Bullseye. Of course this could be because I only load .45lc, .44spcl, and .38/.357.

    The oldest gun you use

2nd Model 44 Handejector, .44 Special manf 1916-20, I walk it once a month or better. Almost no finish left on it, but tight and shoots like a dream.
