The 31 is definitely designed for NTCH! The problem I have is my body is not so I have to use a collapsible stock and and adjust it can my bodies length of pull, by doing that I'm about 2 inches off the CH and half an inch high from cheek fat. oddly enough iron sites aren't a problem

I hate spellcheck[emoji35]!! What you have on your rifle right now is a crush washer, you want to change that out for a peel washer and it's possible that the threading is out of spec "rifle or flash hider" either way changing the washer will fix your problem.

I do love my ACOG (TA31RMR-G-CH), what I don't love is the eye relief (1.5in) of the TA31's. Take a hard look at the TA11's with an eye relief of 2.39in, it helps a hell of a lot. I'm so in love with them that I'm saving for a TA26SG-10 with the plan of putting it on my new AR pistol (Roxie)...
