74 yrs. young and still vertical.
As soon as I looked at the poll choices I knew the OP was a youngster! I was born in the darkest days of WWII and I'm 71 now. Some days I feel like half that age (mainly when I am out riding my motorcycle) and other days feel every year of my 71. Not being careful enough to take care of myself in my younger years, I am now the product of modern medicine. Quintuple bypass 18 years ago; double knee replacements; partial corneal transplants and several minor operations have helped offset the carelessness of youth.
Maybe I have good genes, since my Mom turns 100 in a few months. But then again, my Dad who never smoked, exercised regularly and was a health nut, died before his 64th birthday from lung cancer. I figure that if I'm lucky I've got about 20 more years in me, enough to see my 10th grandchild reach his 21st birthday.
At my age I keep thinking about simplifying my life but I keep wanting new toys. Lately I've been thinking that I REALLY need a good 45 caliber revolver......
