From what I know (not much) the 19-6 and19-7 have the round butt, previous models don't. Cosmetics not important, but no rust or pitting. Mechanically sound, and good bore and chamber condition very important. This will be a house gun. I'm in WA state, about 35 miles north of Seattle.

Thanks for the replies. To me it seems like the most sensible approach is to start with a fresh spring and monitor function up to 3k rounds, then change the spring. Cheap insurance.
