Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

Someone from Castboolits recommended a particular person from S&W tech support and had an extension number for them. A different person answered, but the wait time was less than a minute and he was able to find the part I needed, based on the part number that is on midway's web site. He said...

Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

Update: S&W did send me a part, free of charge. That is very nice of them and a great way to keep satisfied customers.................... But, it is the wrong part. They sent the ejector rod, but it does not have the knurled end with it. I didn't need the whole rod and the new rod is missing...

More Lever Action Rifle Love, Rossi .44 Magnum Stainless Carbine (pic)...

I still don't have a rossi stainless lever action, but I did manage to get my grandfather to let me use his Winchester 94 30-30 from 1972 or 1973. I have been casting boolits for it and loading red dot and herco shotgun powder. I can load it cheaply and it does great for hitting steel plates at...

You are going the wrong way!!

I am waiting for my Dillon 550 to come back from a rebuild. It is being shipped by Fedex. It arrived in Bloomington, Ca (10 minutes from my house) yesterday, from Phoenix, Az. This morning it went to Riverside (20+ minutes away) just to be put on a truck and out for delivery to me, in Fontana...

Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

I am mad at myself for forgetting to locktite that part after I noticed it was loose, while I was shooting. I am angry at S&W about the lack of communication. Here is the email they sent me: Dear Customer, I have ordered what you need; there will be some fitting involved order # 1646038...

Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

I found it on the midway web site and signed up for a notification. I did a google search for the part and didn't find anything. I also checked a couple other gun parts sites and didn't find it. If it comes in at midway, I will order a couple. The price isn't too bad and as much as I hate the...

Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

I do not need the ejection rod. I need the knurled tip that goes on the ejection rod. The end of the rod has an internal thread and the knurled part is actually a screw, but the head is just a round knurled section which must be tightened down with a pair of pliers. Yes...Stang1911 gets it...

Update: S&W customer service, found the right guy.

10-27-14 I got a hold of a tech at an extension number that was given to me for S&W. I waited less than a minute on the phone and the guy was able to find the part I needed. What a night and day difference from the person I had emailed. I don't have the part in my hands yet so anything could...

How about a post your vechicle

Speaking of 68 Mustangs with a 390fe..............My friend had a 68 fastback, but he built a 428fe for it that made 525hp on the engine dyno. It was yellow with a back stripe and was on the cover of car craft magazine in the early 2000's for an article that was called "looks stock, hauls ***."...

How about a post your vechicle

88 K5 Blazer 4x4 This is my weekend truck/range truck and snowboard transport vehicle. New GM goodwrench gutless engine at 10mpg, 700r4 with some nice upgrades (built by my uncles trans shop), 4.88 limited slip rear with upgraded axles (10 bolt since I don't do hardcore off roading), front...

Range Results for a 3 Month Shooter

I am working on my double action skills as well. I have only owned a revolver of my own for a year. I practice on a steel target at about 20 yards. The body of the target is 10"x10" and it has a 5" cutout with a plate behind that will swing up and then slap the back of the bigger plate when hit...

Anyone have experience with Battery Assist Device?

I think my lower is an AFM. I installed the BAD lever the day I picked up the rifle. It seems like a great idea and works well for dry firing. I hope to take it out to the range for the first time, within the next week. I intend to use my rifle for 3 gun, so I figured the lever would be a good idea.

    INSANITY

One or more anti's said more guns would not work, because all of the armed men at Fort Hood failed to prevent the death of those 13 people. They were too stupid to realize that it was a military area, where the law abiding men were not allowed to carry their weapons. They showed how stupid they...

    460 load data?

I only use the Hornady 240 XTP MAG for full power loads, over 45.0 grains of win 296 as per hogdons web site and I get 1917 FPS from it. For medium power loads, I use A 5744. Accurate has a pdf with load data. I use it for loads around 1400 fps. For 1200 or less, I use trail boss. I have tried...

    Beware the Range Cretins ...

Sounds to me like that 500 scared the **** out of the dog. It's not the dog's fault. I would love to come behind someone shooting a 460 and leaving the brass so I could pick it up. Starline brass isn't cheap.

Good rifle for 12 year old, 243 or 270?

30-06.............if you reload. My dad has two 30-06's. One is a short model 56 that kicks hard. I loaded up some light loads last month. 150 grain bullet at 1200-1450 fps. "The Load" which is 13.0 grains of red dot powder, gave me 1400 and sounds like a pistol and feels like a 223 or less for...

    Wife's adventure in "Man's Land."

I thought of the welding route too, but I would tig weld it because it is fun and would give me a reason to practice my welds. Many people would just throw the pan away without even thinking about fixing it.

Last thing on my mind at the range with my kids

I am not that easy going with my guns. All of my guns are stainless but the shotgun has a blue upper receiver and barrel with a stainless lower receiver and a polymer stock. The only wood on my guns are the cocobolo grips on the ruger MkIII Hunter. I only let trustworthy people shoot my guns...

More Lever Action Rifle Love, Rossi .44 Magnum Stainless Carbine (pic)...

I have been thinking that a stainless 45lc Rossi would go great with my 460 Smith. I haven't even fired a lever action before, but those look mighty nice.
