    Second year Shield report.

In addition to the Shield 40, I have a Glock 22 Gen 4. It certainly isn't a 6 shot pocket gun, but works well as a full sized, 15 round, fun gun. My desire is to be as proficient as possible with both weapons. I am happy with my groupings with both guns though vastly different in size and...

    Gander Moutain Protection Plan

Did they tell you that the gun had a lifetime warranty? If they didn't, then this borders on fraud. If it were me, I would demand a refund. If I didn't get it, I would post that fact everywhere I could. Management is greedy to even offer the warranty.

My Shield and my old eyes

76, cross dominate, cataracts (not bad enough for surgery), mildly colorblind, can't see a red laser, so lots of problems to overcome. My solution, CT Green Dot laser. At 15 ft. 10 rounds in a 2" circle with a .40 Shield.

    I bought an M&P 40 over a P320

I hated Glocks. I would say the word "Glock" and spit. Then a friend gifted me with a Glock 22 Gen 4. While my Shield .40 is my EDC, I like the Glock. Surprise, surprise!! I bought a Lone Wolf 9 mm conversion barrel for it. Makes for cheaper practice. I will continue to carry the Shield and...

    Second year Shield report.

Been about a year since I visited this forum. Seems like the Shield chatter has nearly disappeared.:( I still enjoy mine. It is my EDC. My accuracy is great. Shield reliability is very high. It can be well concealed IWB or just a pocket gun. I will post my last range trip when I figure out...

Is the M&P Shield a pocket gun?

My pocket shield is so comfortable that I forget I have it. Sometimes I have to return to my car to secure it because I forget in a place where it is not allowed. It and the pocket holster are completely out of sight. If some don't like it, that's fine, but don't say an emphatic "no" with...

    .40 Shield

Even companies that make good weapons are full of bs from time to time. The person you called should have expedited you service. But they are human, not automatons

Looking to buy a carry pistol.

Six round Shield 40 in my off side pocket. Glock 22 gen 4 w/15 rd mag. plastered to my hip. Keep the ammo the same. Both are accurate. Glock is more accurate at greater distance. I enjoy both. Dress for concealment.

    Shields first day out!!

I have both a Shield 40 and a Glock 22 gen 4. I like them both and find both accurate. The Glock is more accurate at greater distances as might be expected since it is a standard size. The 15 round mag increases the fire power over the 6 or 7 round Shield mag. Which one I carry depends on...

    New Shield Concerns

I don't remember my .40 trigger being gritty. All I know is that it is easy and smooth now, after almost a year. At 7 to 15 feet, it is accurate. Beyond that, my Glock 22 Gen 4 out performs the shield.

    Shield 9mm @ 1750 rounds

That's great! Compares favorably to my .40 Shield. I shoot paper plates at fire fight distance. Most of them hit in the 2-1/2" circle I draw on it, all on the 8" or 9" plate. Very comfortable EDC.

    Sig P290 vs Shield?

Had my .40 Shield for a year. Lots of rounds through it. Accurate and reliable as a sd/dc weapon. I use paper plates as targets (cheap). Draw a 2" circle in the middle. All rounds are on the plate with 4 or 5 in the circle. The feel of it is similar to my Bersa Thunder .380 which also is...

    Promag issues?

Folks over on the Bersa sight bad mouth ProMags. However, I have two for my Bersa Thunder .380 and both have performed perfectly. I do use them for practice, but performance wise, I can't tell the difference from the factory mags.

Fell in Love with the Shield

Bought my .40 Shield sometime last year. Lots of rounds through it of all kinds without a failure, just pull the trigger and bang.Surprising accuracy at 7 to 12 feet. I use paper plates. At those distances, I rarely miss the plate. 70-80% of the rounds are in the 2-1/2" circle I draw in the...
