UPDATE

Just put my 1750th round throught my Shield 9mm (give or take a mag or 2)
With NO malfunctions at all, Been running some WWB, Fed Champion, GDHP, HST, Golden Saber, Winc SXT, Corbon. 115 Gr 124 grain 135 and some 147 grain. As well as reloads, THis gun eats everything i feed it. Very accurate, Soft shooting, and a joy to carry, was hitting steel plates at 100 yds today Not consistently but 4 out of 8 rounds is not bad, and the misses were barley misses. Just a cool gun to shoot and carry, Now my EDC (Until i change again) loaded with either 124 +P GDHP or the Same grain in HST. Along with a spare mag i feel confident i can deal with any threat imposed.
Just my 2 cents

That's great! Compares favorably to my .40 Shield. I shoot paper plates at fire fight distance. Most of them hit in the 2-1/2" circle I draw on it, all on the 8" or 9" plate. Very comfortable EDC.

Agreed. My 40 runs great

That looks very good. Still having a slight problem with my .40. Shooting paper plates and hitting slightly left of AP. Rubber Talon grips on the way, that and a lot more rounds through the Shield should help.

Thanks, 1SG, I've been wondering about +P in my Shield....great to know, it'll handle them with ease. I'll have to test out the Hornady Critical Duty in my Shield 9MM.

Ya The M&P Shiel;d will handle those +P tounds. The Owners giuse does state so But "Not a heavey diet" I shoot a mag or so once and a while just to make sure its still functions. Mostly shoot ball standard pressure 9mm. The gun sure does run flawlessly, I switch between the shield and my 40c, after carrying the 40c for a day or two then putting on the shield i notice a worl of difference. I can co nceal the 40c just as well as the Shield, Its just that the shield is so much easier to carry,. If that makes any sense at all

I have a little over 600 rounds through mine and of those, I shot 50 of the Hornady 135 gr. +P Critical Duty rounds! The gun loved them had absolutely NO problems with the +P CD... I've had only three other FTE over the 600 rounds so not too bad (and they were with I believe Federal Champion 115 gr target rounds)!

Later, and Happy Shooting!!!

Great, I'll only shoot the +P now an then , just to run it's paces and make sure the self protection round works well. I too switch between my M&P 9c and my Shield 9...of course the 9c is a lot heavier and double stack, but a great carry pistol during the winter with a shirt, jacket or sweatshirt over it.

All the M&P's are fine pistols, as far as I'm concerned.

I also have the 9c, i often carry that as well. I switch sometimes depending on what happens in the news. If there is an active shooter somewhere that makes me want to carry a high cap pistol with a spare mag. (Crazy i know). But that shield will suffice for now. i really do enjoy shooting that gun.
