Often has obscure S&W parts on hand.
Otherwise just keep checking the online auction sites.
If you weren't aware, LPA makes a nice adjustable that will go on there. Three variants in fact; with dots, white outline or plain black serrated target blade...
Some stuff to consider...
Those recoil buffer things that fit around the recoil spring only insulate/cushion the slide's spring box from striking the frame's impact abutment inside the dust cover at the very end of rearward slide travel. They are also well known for causing problems. Some...
Cobbled this up the other day using a new comp barrel I found on GB for $65 and a new factory spurless hammer I had in the bin.
Stuck a Big Dot on as a placeholder...
Locking bolt pin salvaged from the original barrel was obviously too short. I've since made a new pin to fit the underlug...
I really wish folks would stop with the replace every spring in the gun notion. It's not necessary and a pointless waste of superior factory parts. The sole spring I consider a consumable part is the recoil spring. So, on a used gun with unknown mileage, sure, replace that with a fresh...
What a shame a CQB was parted out.:(
The CQB guns were built on 845 frames. Slides were hand fit to their respective frames. I would expect the rails on a 45xxTSW frame to be quite loose. I have some stuff here that would allow me to test fit such a setup if you'd like me to try & report...
So if I'm reading you right...
Factory mags drop fine but aftermarket mags stick, is that correct?
Do both mags snap in just as easily or do the MecGar mags require more force?
If so, I'd surmise the catch slot on the aftermarket mags is out of spec.
Cheers

I grab those NOS (New Old Stock) factory S&W low mount sight sets whenever I see them. They pop up on the auction sites on occasion. Don't care about the dates when I can easily have them re-lamped @ $19 per lamp and get a refresh on the warranty. Most recently I scored several pn: 19102 sets...
No screws. Those rails were affixed with flush mount solid aluminum rivets. The rail can be re-attached with properly sized rivets and a press or rivet squeezer. I recently had to tighten up a loose rail on a 5906TSW, used a aircraft hand rivet squeezing tool.
Your 3913TSW shares the same...
These are both the older single stack forties right?
If so, those guns should share the same cuts and sights as any 45xx except for the height of the front.
Unless they've been modified by someone.
If you want a fiber optic front for those, look under S&W 1911 E-Series at Dawson Precision.
This...
The CS40 front will fit and will likely raise your POI a bit. The CS40 rear sight... while it will physically fit your 3913, it won't work as it's waaaay too tall.
Are you holding six o'clock? Those duty guns were generally set up for POA = POI as in put the dot right where ya want the hole...
3913NL and 5906 share the same dovetail cuts.
Dawson Precision makes a very nice fiber optic front sight. Take a factory Novak backsight, stripped out dots and open up the notch to a .156 "U" notch. Pair that with the Dawson f/o front and you have a very clean sight picture that is quite...
Look to the equipment rules starting on page 35 of the rulebook...

Wait a dadgum minute...
Service Pistol matches or Leg matches/EIC and President's Hundred are only shot with with service pistols. That's where to 4# trigger rule applies.
Service pistols were/are the M1911 the M9 and I suppose the M17 now.
Model 52 is NOT a service pistol
You won't be...
How close are you in weight?
Miniature shaft shims under the mainspring in the plunger or machine a spacer to add just enough additional compression to make weight might get you there temporarily.
Bench check carefully to make sure there is no coil bind. Too much spacer under the spring will...
909 has those rubbish plastic sights and while the rear can be swapped to a steel sight, the front with that immense dovetail cut in the slide cannot. A 915 would be a better fit/choice but then you're back to the old style backsight.
On the other hand. It takes about two minutes to perform a...
Loctite SF 790 gasket remover, formerly known as "Chisel" ought to clean that gunk off.
Be careful with that though, it's mostly methylene chloride, nasty nasty stuff.

4556 denotes an all stainless steel construction
Would not a blued one of those be in truth a M4554?
Looks like a well worn paint job to me ie. gun-kote, duracoat, cerakote, krylon, rustoleum;) et al.

Barrels are fit to the slide. In the rare instance hand fitting is required, a tiny bit of material is stoned or filed off the rear of the tab or hood. If the hood is too long the barrel won't drop fully into battery engaging the mating locking lugs in the slide.
If you have a spare...
