    I'm no expert, but I read the manual. The wrench is for the threaded barrel and the allen wrench is for the sight adjustment set screw.

    That's because without the magazine it's not possible to fire because of the "magazine disconnect".

    I have the same problem with the Federal American Eagle. The Remington golden bullets have been fairly reliable, but very dirty.

    M&p 22 with rem subsonic

    Surprisingly, The Remington subsonic cycles very well in both my M&P22 and Ruger SR22. I went through 100 rounds with zero issues.

    M&P22 range fail

    For some reason my Ruger SR22 and Walthes P22 pistols love those cheap remington golden bullets. I don't know about my M&P 22 because I won't have it until Tuesday of this week. I plan on giving the remington golden's a try.
