In my opinion it's just as important as when you weapon is OWB. It keeps your pants up and your weapon more secure. With that said it's just as important to have a proper IWB holster designed to your weapon to ensure that it's secure and stays in the holster.

The only time my pistols see a glove box is when the vehicle is not in motion and I legally can't take it with me. The pistol I'm considering will go in the ashtray so I will not be concerned about inadvertently showing it to an officer during a traffic stop.
