S&W started putting the Performance Center Sear's in their SHB's over 6 months ago, but wouldn't sell them as a complete unit until now! So for those of you have the older SHB's with the small sear plunger and want to upgrade, this would be the one to get!

These will also accept the TS components so that you can add a TS to your pistol (assuming it has the frame cutouts for it).

For those that have an Apex sear already installed and their plunger spring is there an additional benefit to this block, other than the larger plunger?

Thanks S4...appreciate the heads up and any help.

Assuming that you have the LARGE sear plunger and plunger spring in your SHB already, no. If you wanted to add the TS to your pistol (and it would accept it), then this would be an option for you.

Will they sell it straight to me or does one have to be an armorer like Glock? I would like a better trigger and didn't want to go non OEM parts.

So what exactly separates this one from the previous SHB you were offering (27764)? Did that one already include the large plunger/spring? Is the only benefit to this latest version vs. the previous the added capability for a thumb safety?

It had a non-PC Sear. It also had the hole in the center for the lock.

If you have an updated SHB (with the large sear plunger) and DON'T want to be able to add a TS, then this new SHB is of no value to you. Just put the Apex Tactical Sear and stick it in your gun for a better trigger pull.

What is a "TS"?

Posts would be a lot easier to read without a bunch of acronyms...Just saying!:D

SHB and TS are pretty common acronyms if you have been around the M&P pistol for any length of time.

Thank you C4. I do have the older SHB with the small plunger.
I've had zero reliability issues. I'll put this on my list of goodies I need to get from you...
Is the larger plunger and spring for reliability?

Those SHB's will cause what is called "sear fluttter" which in turn results in a dead trigger! I would suggest not using it for defensive purposes until you get it fixed.

Yes on reliability.

You're killing me..... Hundreds of flawless rounds down range, but it is my EDC gun.
I appreciate your candor and input. Time to fill up the tool box...
