I like Glocks, I have a 17 and it's a good gun. I am pissed at S&W for not supporting their 3rd gens anymore, but my carry weapon is a Shield 9. For me, it's close to perfection for a carry gun. I see no need to try to replace it.

Another vote for the Shield. My wife and I both carry the Shield 9 and it's the best concealed carry pistol I've ever had and it converted my wife from a revolver only to an auto lover....Can't go wrong.

If multiple .40 shields have blown up, and each with different ammo, then it would appear to be a flaw in the gun. Has anyone thought about a class action law suit against S&W? It's sad that their lifetime warranty is worthless since they NEVER admit any flaws with their guns. I own a .40 shield...

How exactly can hey keep a product you purchased? Sounds like a theft to me.

I had the work done at a local shop and for everything it was 50 bucks.

**UPDATE** Got my 4506 back today and the feed problem was a combination on a weak recoil spring and lack of care by the previous owner. New spring and rails polished as well as the feed ramp and the area directly above the feed ramp and she runs like a 4506 should. Yes...now she cycles empty...

I just picked up a 4506 at a local gun show and it has a problem feeding. When the slide is locked back and a full mag is put in, it doesn't feed FMJ and with JHP the first feeds but also partially pulls out the next round. when I load 7 in the mag instead of 8, it works better.
