iirc, Robertsons had a bunch of the California guns CDC and CHP. I think they were in the 325-450 range. At least that is what I paid for mine.

I sure would like to see some pictures of the gun. If it is a "integrated rail" model then I would expect it to go for $500 to $650 even with some wear. Those integrated rail models are very rare so expect to pay a good bit more than a "riveted rail" model.

3rd gens do that repeatedly, I bought several within hours of being posted on the auction sites.
I would guess it went for $1k or more. Thats what an integrated rail 4566TSW went for recently on one of the auction boards.
Those integral rail guns are scarce. They bring quite a bit more than your run of the mill LE trade ins. And are worth it too! Regards 18DAI

Well it's now pending sale and after looking back at his ad I think it went for less than $500.

Okay, when you find all these surplus integrally-railed LEO trade-ins for a few bucks and flip them for a fortune I will rejoice that you've been so blessed - it's likely that any agency wouldn't know what they've got and would surplus them just like all the others. As long as you know the integrally-railed ones aren't a dime a dozen.

Huh? Since when? I'm sure some have been very used but all I've ever seen the most "use" they got was holster wear. I own a bunch of LEO guns and all about on par with a typical used gun.

I think anyone looking for a .45 that works straight out of the box with no problems or gunsmithing or need to buy a dozen different brands of magazines to find which type it will work with, would prefer a 3rd gen .45 to a 1911.
And they won't need to pay $1500 or $2100 or whatever the magic number is that 1911 fans claim you need to pay to get a reliable 1911.

Eh, I'm not much of a seller or trader, but for a working gun, I'd take the 3rd Gen every time. I'm a 1911 fan and own or have owned guns from Colt, Springfield and Kimber. After carrying them and shooting them for years, I've moved on to other guns for duty use. Harsh reality is everyone I've owned required work to get it to run right out of be box. They then required regular attention to keep them running.
Just my personal experience. To each his own!
