Help with ATF eform SBR 15-22!

I would go with M&P 15-22. But I would be surprised if the rejected either model name.

    Plinker Tactical Magazines

I've never had a problem shooting the bullets out of them, but getting new one back in is harder than a SW mag. I'll pass on another one, and prolly sell the one I own.

Follow up on decision and purchase

Same thing here. I can't believe they are so cheap! And that would be the perfect big brother for the 15-22...I'm having the same battle in my head too.:D And once we get closer to election time, the prices will rise again. So, we have to decide in the next few weeks, lol. Kinda serious though.

First shooting of new 15-22 Sport

Welcome to the site, and enjoy the gun! I read that you sometimes hit the bolt release instead of the mag release and have a problem with loading the next round. This is common with several guns. You'll always have an easier time, pulling the charging handle (bolt) back and locking it back...

    Rust on the muzzle

I would use steel wool if it bothered me. But in your case, then firing end of the barrel, I would write that off as being gun power residue and just keep it oiled.

    M&P 15-22 vs dedicated .22LR AR-15

It is simple to swap to 22lr with the conversion kit. It's just the bolt and different magazines. The .223 is a heavier bullet, so the twist rate of the barrel is going to 1 in 9 or so and to stabilize the lighter 22lr round, it would need to be 1 in 16. So, it's not the same. It will...

    One in layaway

Congrats! One of my local ranges doesn't allow full auto and have a ban on slidefire/bump fire devices as well. But if you show up with it on a 22, they will ok it for the day. So, maybe there is a chance?? since the 22 has little recoil and doesn't go anti-aircraft like an AR.

    Two-stamp 15-22

CCI quite is weak round. Not surprising that it didn't cycle the rifle. These two stamp guns are sweet! I'm looking forward to chopping my barrel down now :)

    Scope/Riser Question

If the riser allows you to look through it and use your iron sights, that would be co-witness. For everything that I do, the riser is just to get the scope high enough for me to comfortably rest my cheek on the stock while I shoot. Without one, I'm really leaning over on it and the stock is...

I kind of like the idea of buying a second one!

    22LR ammo for sale online?

It's hit or miss. The sites that I get mine from are cabelas and midway. you just have to bookmark them and check them a few times a day. You'll get lucky every now and then. Just remember that when it is in stock, it's only up for 15 or 20 mins and then its sold out again.
