Your message strikes home, congratulations!
Just a year ago I had a strange, itchy, under the skin lump taken off my back. Derm Doc said not to worry it's an infected cyst but sent it to a different path lab as it was deep. Came back as Metastatic Melanoma. I have never had any kind of skin...
But seriously. My father in law passed a couple of years ago. He was a well known Native American silversmith. We ended up with all of his workshop and I have been slowly going through all his tools and work stuff and so far have a pickle bucket with about 8 lbs of sterling scrap. There's at...
I am wondering why you gave up trying to cut the small end off. Was it a bone-in shoulder?
Boning out a pork shoulder without ending up with stew meat is a fun skill to learn. Bone-in is always cheaper.
From the perspective of a workman in the home, the gun belongs to the property owner, regardless who hid it there. He should have given it to the owner. Instead he stole it. EOS
My A1C teeters on the borderline all the time and I am not overweight. Starch and carbs are the culprits. I've banished pasta, bread, most corn etc. from my diet. I did discover that there is a huge difference in the glycemic load of potatoes eaten with their skins vs. peeled potatoes, so whole...
I suppose it exists frozen or something but it's easy to make at home. Steam cut up cauliflower till crisp-tender, drain it well and go after it with a potato masher or put it in a food processor. Done. Takes about that long.
Of course it is. We just got back from a very pleasant 5 days at the little beach house we've owned in Sonora for decades. Sure there's violence, but nearly all of it is cartel on cartel. A few hapless tourists wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ending the "war on drugs" would save us...
Great to hear about your workout routine. More power to you and here's to continued improvement.
With that out of the way and...not to be picky or anything....but your "favorite" black lager, 1554, is made by New Belgium Brewing, not Boulevard.
I don't own a SpyderCo I don't believe, but I associate serrated edges with bread knives and those bendy steak knives you get at the dollar store. In all my years in the outdoors I never wished I had a serrated knife for some task.
I tried the Colville, not bad at all. I still like Bulleit, Bulleit Rye, 4 Roses and Dickel 8 for everyday whiskies though. Ever wonder what "small batch" means? Legally, nothing. Single Barrel means something. Small batch, not so much.
Good decaf is hard to come by. Seattle's Best makes a decent one, as does 8 O'Clock. In order to be able to drink coffee all day and also to keep the wife happy I make my own half-caf. Mixing equal parts by weight full caf and decaf. Various brands. The full caf half is often from a local...
Sweet and sour isn't exactly a new taste concept. I remember seeing some sort of a food show about southerners soaking big giant Dill pickles in Kool-Aid so....
66 Here. I work behind a wine bar one day a week and one of my associates is a couple of years younger than me. We are good friends and banter back and forth all the time, giving each other wisecracks. Customers often ask if we're married. I alway say "heck no my mother in law is younger than...
