    New M&P 9mm...Wow!

Welcome Josh. I bought mine used as well and it has the DCAEK and I love every bit of it....on that thought, does anyone know how to distinguish the apex kit? I am new to guns and realize I never really checked nor would i know what to look for...

Probably Would Have Been Better off Keeping My Mouth Shut

That's a shame. One of the things I have noticed, being a Christian, is that many Christians walk with their nose up in the air. The scriptures don't preach that at all and IMHO a prominent speaker should understand this. I will put it out there: I am terrible at receiving criticism but I do...

    Compact epiphany

I agree in the sense that the compact can most definitely hold its own. In fact with x grips and a 17 round mag, it *almost* doesn't make sense as much as owning a shield and wanting an FS would. Personally I would love an FS but I would definitely choose a different caliber to further justify...

    ?: regarding my new M&P 9mm

It depends on what caused the problem and what exactly you are doing when the problem happens. If you pull the trigger and nothing happens, and you are at the range. Just keep it pointed down range for about 20-30 seconds. I had a really good instructor and he basically told me to point it...

    cc at work

can't believe i overlooked a kangaroo holster. that may be my next purchase as I am almost always in button downs. Gotta figure out how to draw/holster with it though.

    Compact epiphany

I love my compact. My most recent revelation is how good the Remora is. I didn't like it at first but I am finding it to be my most comfortable holster (pending new belt and pants purchase, my old jeans are shrinking.) I wouldn't mind getting a 45 FS...

Is there something in the water in Texas?....

Just read that some people in texas are walking around with empty holsters, holding a carrot or pocket constitution. Ironically, people are smiling and laughing at this and asking more about why they are doing this (instead of banning them from the premises). There is always more than one way...

Heading to the FFL today to jail a pair of M&P

I love the compact I just bought and would love to have a FS. I, too, am interested in seeing a side by side comparison of a broken in 40 vs. a new one. Sorry to hear you are in CA...hopefully things will turn around :/

Is there something in the water in Texas?....

Well, the restaurant in NC comes to mind. They banned all weapons, concealed or not, and then proceeded to get robbed at gun point. Though, they may change that now... Granted, that wasn't texas....

9c vs FS9 accuracy at range?

I felt more accurate with the FS for sure. But the compact can hold it's own, no problem

Is there something in the water in Texas?....

Wait a second... Was this guy carrying in condition 3? Clearly he doesn't read this forum often ^_^

Is there something in the water in Texas?....

I think if you're trying to protest the oc laws, there is a far more tactful way to do so. It is irritating, although I prefer cc, because all they did was stir the pot in a negative way. So many people are becoming selfish in the way they protest in that they hardly think of the greater...

CCW: Keep one in the pipe?

Saw that video the other day and had a good laugh. Butterscotch is definitely (not) at the top of my list for concealed carry methods.

CCW: Keep one in the pipe?

You are 100% right and I agree. I was just pointing out one of my beefs with this thread that has been the notion of "carry in condition 1 or you shouldn't be carrying at all." As I said, condition 1 is what I feel to be the most effective way to carry, but that is not something that can be...

CCW: Keep one in the pipe?

I'm new to the forum and have been reading a lot of stuff including this topic and I have formed a few opinions here: 1) The ridiculous analogies that are being used to compare C3 to C1 are getting old. I understand that everyone feels their opinion is the better one, but making long-shot...

New KS Laws Effective July 1, 2014

well i'll be...I am new here, new to concealed carry in general as well. I guess I always assumed you could OC in texas. I don't live there, just assumed it. Anyways, I have never seen an open carry in VA.

    M&P COMPACT 9MM FIRST IMPRESSION

Bought a 9c with the apex dcaek this past week and finally got to shoot it... I love it, so smooth, very accurate and just fun to shoot. I had great groupings at 7 and 10 yards having been my 2nd time shooting a handgun

FOR CCW IS M&P SHIELD BETTER THAN M&P COMPACT 9MM?

Others may have said it but the more you shoot the compact, the better that trigger will feel. I shot a well broken in FS and it was great. I do, however, have the apex dcaek in my compact and love it so I would highly recommend that to you... Good luck, can't go wrong with an m&p
