Ugh why do I have to discover the good models once they’re discontinued?!

I carry Barnes TAC-XPD 357 125gr in mine and even with the titanium cylinder, it’s not horrible to shoot. I only carry my M&P 340 in my coat pocket so for what it’s role is, it shoots just fine at 5 yards.

Would love to see a P365 competitor. As much as I like my P365, it’s hard to not carry my Shield sometimes.

I had crimp jump on Speer Gold Dot 158gr with my 340. Causes a total stoppage.

Durability, weight savings, 357 capability, and finish corrosion resistance are all reasons to spend the extra coin for a 340.

Triggers and sears the same for all M&P The Shield uses the same size sear as the M&P 45 and it’s not interchangeable with the 1-dot sear. Their website explains it all. Design-wise, they are similar; dimensionally, they are different. Triggers are also not interchangeable

I paid just over $500 for my 9c in 2011 but I wouldn’t expect to get a dime over $300 if I sold it now. CDNN has the 40c with night sights for $300 brand new... Buy that and a conversion barrel and you’ll still be way ahead compared to the LGS

MIM = metal injection molded. Cheaper than investment casting or machining. IF done correctly (heat treating is biggest variable), it’s fine for this application.
