Anyone have any juicy SHOT rumors, particularly anything related to the M&Ps? Don

From today’s release:

James Debney, American Outdoor Brands Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "During the second quarter, we remained focused on innovation throughout our company. In firearms, we began shipping into the channel a major new product, which will be available to our consumer customers on December 12. In both our firearms and our outdoor products and accessories businesses, we prepared a large number of exciting new products for launch at SHOT Show in January 2020."

S&W doesn't seem very interested in delaying introductions until SHOT, trade shows aren't as important as they used to be. The internet has changed how products are marketed.

At the risk of getting this thread moved to the wishlist forum I am hoping for:

1 - A single stack M&P 10mm that would be easy to carry.
2 - A full size M&P 2.0 9mm that is either optics ready or has a red dot installed at the factory.
3 - A lightweight, compact and reliable 9mm PCC that takes M&P magazines. I would strongly prefer a 16 barrel and stock over a "pistol" with a brace in case a new president has the BATF change its stance on braces. But I realize that is a minority opinion.

Would love to see a P365 competitor. As much as I like my P365, it’s hard to not carry my Shield sometimes.

Something complete new, original, and revolutionary. Nope, couldn't keep a straight face.

It'll probably be more of the same, not that I blame them for sticking with what works in such a risky business.

We'll see a bunch of new 9mm Wonder Pistols, some carbines, the next big NFA-skirting loophole firearm, a new .22cal rifle cartridge that apparently doesn't do anything besides match the ballistics of another cartridge, and at least a couple sellouts who attempt to appeal to gun control advocates by pushing something stupid like finger-print scanning grips with an internet uplink to a criminal database which only adds a mere $500 to the price of the gun itself or proud proclamations of how they're dropping out of the oversaturated AR-15 market not because their AR wasn't selling but because they realized that civilians totally don't need ARs and apparently can't be trusted with them either.

Another 27 brands of polymer 9mm auto pistols were released at SHOT SHOW 2020 with an average MSRP of $99.99
LOL but pretty close.

On one hand, at least the price is right. On the other, now the 9mm Fanboys will be twice as obnoxious about citing the cost advantage of 9mm versus other self-defense cartridges, because obviously top priority when selecting a self-defense cartridge ought to be the cost of ammo.
I dunno about you, but if I should ever pass away in a gunfight, I want my family to be comforted by the fact that I saved up to 10¢ a round on ammo.

Found in the back of a warehouse, 100,000 M&P .41 Magnums (Model 58s) will be hitting the store shelves by the weekend. ;)

I'm in, but only if they find about 500 of those M 58's. In which case I will break down and buy some new dies for the new caliber.

$79.99 for the ones from Turkey.:D

A S&W PCC in 9mm that takes M&P mags would be perfect. I'll take mine with a 16" barrel for the same reasons given above.

I don't know if this has been posted or not, if it has, my apologies for repeating it.

As some may know, a holding company called Outdoor Brands owns S&W. The CEO recently said that he wasn't waiting for the SHOT Show and is releasing a new S&W pistol on Dec 12. No more details but more stuff than this at SHOT.

I called S&W Customer Service in slight hopes that they knew something and would blab. Said they knew nothing. Don

They are out there, but they are getting bought up pretty quick so hard to find. I have two and a third on order. What with a couple big departments authorizing pistol optics pretty soon, I think we're going to see a lot more of these optic ready pistols hitting the market.

What would warm my heart is a reintroduction of stainless steel adjustable sighted Old Armys priced to draw young shooters into black powder. Bill Ruger (Senior) would smile from ear to ear in his coffin. I do not see where S&W could fit cap-n-ball into their current revolver frames so it would have to be Ruger. That's fine. I also like Rugers.

Sadly, it will never happen.

I second the need for a single stack 10mm M&P. I think I could honestly say I'm done accumulating 10mm pistols if that happened.
