SHOT Show Rumors

Like this?

. . . pictures of M&P CORE 2.0 . . .

They are out there, but they are getting bought up pretty quick so hard to find. I have two and a third on order. What with a couple big departments authorizing pistol optics pretty soon, I think we're going to see a lot more of these optic ready pistols hitting the market.

Are those LE only at this time? I couldn't find them listed on the S&W website or the online gun stores I looked at.

The CEO recently said that he wasn't waiting for the SHOT Show and is releasing a new S&W pistol on Dec 12. No more details but more stuff than this at SHOT.
Have you been able to confirm that the new product being released on the 12th is a handgun? The recent investor conference call seemed to imply that it's a long gun, although James Debney would later neither confirm or deny it. :) He is playing his cards very close to the vest. ;)

The thing is that someone should have leaked something by now if the product is already out there with the distributors as Debney pretty much said. If this were big government, we'd already know everything by now. :p

I’d like to see a carbine using M&P mags as well.

Also would like to see 3D Gen pistols be added to the classics series

I'll ask for something that probably wouldn't have enough demand. A 4" Shield that has a full grip so the extended magazine (minus the adapter) can be used as a flush fit magazine. That would provide a full grip for those of use with a smaller hand. I know that the same fit can be achieved with the extended mag with the adapter but you run the risk of pinky pinch when doing a magazine change. The magazines exist as does the 4" slide and barrel, just need a longer grip frame.

No, I don't know any more than you've posted. As I said, I'm hoping for a 10mm longslide. Don

Yes... I recently found out that not only are they part of the LE line, they are way back ordered with agency orders so the one I am waiting for will likely be a while... which gives me some time to think about optics. I think the sku is 12423.

I’ll take an M&P in 10mm :)

While I am right there with you, I’m starting to believe there’s zero chance we will ever see one. The rumor mill was extremely heavy this time last year concerning an M&P10, with several insiders insinuating that it was a sure thing at SHOT 2019. I honestly think Smith is still gun-shy over the lack of success after their first go round with 10mm.

At this point, I’ve pretty much given up hope, and will be buying an XD10 as soon as I can offload my G40.

Inquiring minds interested in new 10mm options are interested in what you have. Don

I've got one short of a handful. Nothing crazy. None for sale :) Unless you have an item on my want list

G29 Gen 4
1076
"1053" 4053 conversion
XDM10 4.5"

Had a G20 Gen4 and loved it, but traded it on an offer I couldn't turn down. Honestly I kinda like the XDM a little better anyway so it worked out.

There's really only 1 more 10mm I'd like, a CS40 10mm. OK maybe 2. An M&P single stack 10mm. OK maybe 3. A G40. Hahah it never ends.

Probably a typo, but why is it disappointing?

Because a 9mm EZ is not a gun I would be interested in. That doesn't mean it will not be a good gun for others. And maybe for me at some point later on. But not now.

If that is real I am curious how they would reduce the amount of effort needed to rack the slide on a 9mm without making the slide a lot heavier.
