Does your seating stem fit the bullet nose profile? A bit of walnut tumbling media or whatever up there could also can't the bullet a bit and cause problems.

I would work up from 1.5, until you reach acceptable accuracy. Unless you are planning on keeping it loaded on the nightstand, why try for more wear on the gun. I load 38 S&W with 1.8gr Red Dot and 158gr swc, plain base. And I did give it to my daughter to keep in her glovebox, (legal in TX)...

A note on compressors. If you do not have a dryer in the line, you may be spraying water into your firearm. All depends upon humidity.

Thank you for the stock information. The cylinder has a lot of rust and missing plating. Also the sideplate. It is a good piece to learn on, since there is not much I could do to damage it further.
