Hi ya'll. I'm new here & wanna test the knowledge pool.

I bought a Waterfowler from a friend who needed some cash. I want to remove the plug so it'll hold the 4 + 1 rounds I've read it'll hold. After looking varoius places I found that there is a " capacity reduceing pin "

I'm guessing that if I remove that, it'll fix my issue. My problem is that I can't get it out. Is there a way to get it out ? Was about ready to get a drill last nite but figured that might not be the best way ;)

Any help would be very welcome.

and here is a photo of the pin.....

A hammer and an appropriate size punch will do the trick.

Thank you. I had tried that, but I guess I wasn't hitting it hard enuff :o I will try again.

Ok. Got the pin out ( thanks again ) but still can't get it to take 4 rounds. I'll take the first 2 & almost the full length of the 3rd, but not all of it.

Anything else I can do ?? This is driving me nuts

Jeesh, sorry to leave you hanging.
I somehow missed the part that you read that it will hold 4+1, but the
truth is that the Model 1000 chamber and magazine capacity with the pin removed is four(4) 2 3/4" shells or three(3) 3" magnum shells.
