So I decided to get a sweet 22. I've read all kinds of reviews on it them and most seem positive. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with one. Also, I'm not sure which rout to go with scope rings/ base. The objective end is 40 mm. Will I need to go big on rings? Any advise would be appreciated.

The rings are not based on Objective, but rather on scope diameter at the mounting points. You need 1" rings for the Sweet 22. On the AR platform, you'll probably want 1" diameter - High Rings. (rings come in high, medium, and low)

I just purchased the BSA sweet .22 from Sportsmans Guide and bought the Leapers 1" .22 rings as well. Not sure exactly how high they are, but I needed another 1/2" or medium riser block. So I would say that you need at least 3/4" or 1" rings - in other words "high" rings. Haven't sighted in it yet but it feels right and has very close cowitness with my Primary Arms M4 red dot so it should be the right height

I spoke with Primary Arms today. He told me that their deluxe AR15 1" mount would be perfect. I like the idea of one single mount as opposed to 2 rings. Also they will throw in A rail top cap for a few extra bones. Let me know what you think of your scope if you hit the range before the weekend.

I own 5 bsa sweet 22 scopes. Had one on my 15-22 with the weaver med rings from wal-mart. Some people that I let shoot it has trouble with the scope close to the stock. For me I like it where it is mounted. I took my sweet 22 off and put a bsa catseye 3X12X44 ao with the same med rings. This scope is shorter and has the side ao.
