Has anybody made a bull barrel for this Rifle yet? I'm sure it would improve accuracy issue some people are having and will also look real good. I want a Barrel Shroud but don't think I'm allowed in my state. And while looking up 10/22 stuff I found a few .920 which will improve accuracy. So why can't we have one? Has anyone tried to mod a 10/22 barrel over to the MP?

I didn't think it would. Just wondering if people have tried this.
Or if a Company has Produced Bull bArrels for it.

Afternoon J22LR1der

Putting a bull barrel on a 15-22 would be like putting racing tires on a Ford Pinto.

You have a weak plastic receiver, for-end so springy that it moves around just touching it.

The diameter of the barrel isn't the accuracy problem it's all that compliant plastic.

Thank you or your reasoning, and I agree and understand.
Only asking because I really want a barrel shroud and cannot in NY.
The only solution I can think of to achieve this look would be to change the Barrel. I guess I'll leave that to my 10/22 project.

Put a barrel tuner on it, or thread the end of your barrel and put a heavy muzzle brake on it.

You could also press a fluted steel sleeve pressed over the barrel to stiffen it up.

If you want something more accurate, a bolt-action rifle is the way to go because the rifle won't be affected by the bolt slamming back and forth when it cycles the action.

IMHO, trying to get a lot of accuracy out of the 15-22 is a waste of time and money. It is what it is.

I find the 15-22 to be plenty accurate. A squirrel's chest cavity 40+ yds. away is a pretty small target, yet I have no problem making one shot kills on them.
Use a proper rifle rest and position it under the point where you hold the rifle when shooting. Then sight in your gun. In the field, always shoot with your hand in the same place on the gun and never shoot with a sling to steady this gun. The plastic does have some give, but by using this tecnique I have no problems. Dead squirrels don't lie!
