Looks like I'm not so lucky since Tactical Vantage also misreads Ohio Revised Code, and I just got this email:

Dear Customer,

Unfortunately under your state laws regarding maximum rounds per magazine we could not process your order. These policies and state laws apply both to your BILLING ADDRESS as well as your SHIPPING ADDRESS. Your credit card has been refunded in full. If you have any questions please give us a call.

Sincerely,

Tactical Vantage

How can I cancel my order sick of waiting since 2/3/13.

Finally got my order of 4 from 1/21 today!
Also bought 6 MagPul .223 mags for 19.95 each today at a LGS.
If I'd have found .22LR ammo today I would have bought a lottery ticket too!

I got all my mags this week from both ProMag and Tactical modified them from 10 to 32 and took them to the range today. Not a single hiccup with the mags or the gun probably shot 250 rnds.

That's good news to hear. Unfortunately, my order for 6 mags from 1/14 is still processing.

ditto. And absolutely no response to inquiries....which I have kept overly nice (the "catch more flies" tactic...). Guess that doesn't work with charlatans.

You are unclear as to what magazines you are referring to, .22 LR or 5.56.

I thought that was what you meant, but wasn't sure. I've stuck my foot in my mouth more than once misreading a post.

Sorry, can't help you with the problem, except to say to make sure that the follower(s) is coming all the way up. Check for some binding in the last 1/2" of movement.

My magazines from Tactical Vantage arrived today. I hadn't got a shipping notice because I fat fingered my email address ordering in a hurry lol. I ordered on the 7th and they shipped on the 11th. Pretty fast! Now I need to decide if I want to cancel my order from ProMag.. I don't need 15 more magazines but I'm sure I could sell them and make some extra cash. Would help ease the pain of how much I had to pay for ammo

Just another data point here.

Placed 2 orders direct with promag
order 1 Jan 18
order 2 Feb 22 - thinking the Jan 18 order got lost in limbo

Each order was for 2 mags...basically for now I just want 2 more mags so I decided to finally call this week and cancel one of the orders.

Finally got through to someone in customer service...cancelled the newer order.

On Tuesday this week I just happened to check tactical vantage website and low and behold the 32 rnd mags were in stock so I immediately ordered 2.

Could not get through to anyone at promag to cancel the other order so I emailed, faxed, and left a vm with the other order # to cancel it. I did check Thu morning and it was indeed cancelled.

Low and behold...just an hour ago I received my shipment notice for tactical vantage.

So...Tactical Vantage 1 - Promag 0

Its too bad because I would rather do business with the "primary" manufacturer or entitiy that owns the IP for a product but apparently they really dont give a hoot.

I am really curious now how tactical vantage can get stock and ship new orders of the same product. I am beginning to think that promag doesnt make anything and they are the engineering leg of it only. Tactical vantage cut a better deal with whoever is actually manufacturing the mags - either way promag wins due to unit sales either directly or through another outlet.

Just a theory but none of this makes sense.

However...I am glad to finally be receiving my mags next week.

I talked on the phone today with a lady at Tactical Vantage. We were working out my email fat finger problem. They couldn't email me so she called me. Any ways I asked her if they where affiliated with ProMag and she said contrary to the rumors out there they are not. She says they get their products from a primary distributor that has lots of stock but is releasing only limited quantities at a time.

So that makes me think that ProMag is basically only really supplying the distributor and not the general public. Or this distributor has had this stock for quite some time and is slowing releasing it. Either way if you need mags keep an eye on Tactical Vantage and forget about ProMag.

I received my order of 4 placed on 1/22 directly with ProMag this Friday(3/15). They didn't come in the retail package, but they did get here in a box shipped from ProMag. Be patient people, they are trying to catch up to the demand. And to those who think that ProMag makes S&W mags, you would be way wrong. ProMags are screwed together while S&W mags are ultrasonically welded together.

Immaterial. Take a good look - all the parts are interchangeable and other than the screws, the designs are identical.

You shouldn't give up hope on ProMag getting your orders out. They are shipping them.

You can as one other user showed, with photos.

I saw that post Majorlk, hence the editing of my post. How many holes do the GRIPP Magtabs have on them? S&W mags have 1 hole on the plates and ProMags have 2. The polymer material between the two seems to be different too(sight comparison). I was a little shocked that mine came in plastic zip bags instead of the nice retail packages I see most post pics of. Seems to me like ProMag is skipping a step to speed up the shipping process of direct orders. Those super-long mags barely fit in the holders sewn into my lady's tactical bag compared to S&W mags. But now I have every type of magazine available to do comparisons(S&W, ProMag, PT, blackdog drum) so we are happy campers! And I have 4,000+ rounds coming to add to the 6,000 already here. Now to pick a 12-gauge.....any recommendations???

I have never gotten bothered about packaging, one way or another.

The post tells exactly how to fit the tabs to the ProMag magazines.

Finally, I get an email stating my mags have shipped today. Original order date was 1/14.

Pardner Pump from Wally World, a lot cheaper then a Remington, but still a good basic pump shotgun. 870 clone, all steel construction and heavier then Rem 870 Tactical. Not the smoothest action, but does get better with use.

I received 2 of the Promags from T/I yesterday, that I ordered 2-3 weeks ago. I was initially a little hesitant to order any, but feel better about these after reading of positive results in this thread. i will keep one, give the other to my daughter and grandson to try in the 15-22's I have given each. Then after firing several mags in each rifle I will swap mags with them--- trying each mag in 3 different rifles,,,
