Welcome to the forum.

You might be able to modify it to fit, but no it will not install as designed.

You need to find a sling mount that clamps on to an AR buffer tube. The ASAP mount is held in place by an AR's castle nut which the 15-22 does not have.

awh dang just saw that the lower is all one piece. thanks for the quick responces, any suggestions on a sling mount that would work and be in the same area?

i used a m1 grand sling mount to attach the sling to the buttstock sling attachement

Thanks for all the responses ! Trying to find a clamping one now that has a full range of motion like the magpul one

There isn't one that will give you the same range of motion as the Magpul... mainly because of the friction space that's needed to tighten in order to clamp it on the buffer tube.

You may be able to use something like this...

Crosstac Ambi Sling Connector - Quick Disconnect › Slings & Mounts › Firearm Accessories › Survival-Pax Co.

Or this type... made by Blackhawk! which straps onto the buffer tube giving you the range of motion you're looking for.

which will rotate in each direction and allow for a wide range of motion.

Hope it helps.

thanks king! if i dont find anything else i might go with that black hawk one!

I have the MI MCTAR13 with loops and it works perfectly. I think he is looking for the roughly 120 degree range of motion that the Magpul version provides.

I don't believe any of the "clamp-on" options provide that range though because of the separation of the clamp.

I would definitely recommend the MI sling plates.
