I'm still a couple of week off getting my M&P 15-22 but I'm already planning changes I want to make so it stands out from the others at the club. I am set on swapping out the handguard for a longer one with just a top rail so I will be getting the Tacticool kit to do that but I'm also wanting to swap out the charging handle too but unsure of which one to go for. What would you guys suggest? (remembering I'm in the UK so I cant just nip to the local shop to buy one and we get ripped off too when it comes to the cost).
Also I would love to fit an ACE stock but I don't even know if this is possible.
feel free to support your suggestions with pictures.

There is a few choices of charging handles to go with for the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22LR. I have the NDZ Performance charging handle and it works really well for my rifle never had any problems installing it or using it when shooting down range. Here are the following manufacturers who makes the charging handles NDZ Performance & TacticalCool22 (forum member of this website).

Here's the websites for them as well have a look to see what they offer for you.

Thanks for that, the charging handle seems to be similar to the Tacticool22 one and it makes sense for me to get that on the same order as the free-float handguard kit to save on shipping.
I'm trying to find someone in the UK that will loan me the tool to take off the barrel nut to save me having to buy one.

First thing I would do before spending a penny just to look different is......I WOULD SHOOT THE THING. Make sure I like it and that it works.
Changes should be for some benefit like faster or easer to use not to look different

+1 to that. I shoot left handed, so I need a charging handle I can operate with either hand, as I discovered on Saturday. Had a FTF while posting groups and had to get completely off the rifle to clear it with the stock one. If you're right handed and not doing drills that require speed, the stock unit likely isn't bad at all.

I've been using one at the club and like the gun and how it operates but it feels a bit short for me so the main mod will be to allow me to extend my hold further down towards the muzzle. I'm sure I would get use to it but I'd rather get use to something that feels more natural to start with. as for the other mods, I thought if I was having stuff shipped to the UK I'd have everything I may need sent in one go.

Really? People all over the world modify all sorts of stuff just for that reason. Why not? Very small chance that an after market charging handle wound end up being worse than the OEM part. Not that it's bad, but it's so simple it'd be hard to screw it up.

The latch is another story. SWS medium latch on Tacticool22 handle.

There is one store in the UK that is carrying my stuff and a second one should be coming on line pretty soon. Once my charging handles are sold out, I doubt I will be making any more.

Uh oh, I better order a black one just in case I 'need' another one in the future. :D

I love the Plinker Tactical handle. I wish the finish was a flatter black, but the handle itself is great.

Oh I noticed. Guys have everything but enough ammo to become proficient. But hey looks are what's important, right?!?!

In this specific case the OP explained why and in his case I get it. It's simple logistics and availability. Ok no problems there. But cases like that are few and far between.

LOL. Thanks for your opinion, Mr. Practical. Guess you rolled out on the wrong side of the bed...again.

I can't afford ammo, I'm saving up for shiny bits. On the plus side I'll look good when I'm running around the COF shouting "bang!"
