I have a new M&P 15-22 and I really don't like the stock pistol grip. I'd like a grip with finger grooves and a bit larger diameter, since I have a large hand.

On my AR, I have a Hogue grip, but it slants a bit too much to the rear. I'd like a more (not quite absolute) vertical grip.

What do you recommend for the 15-22. I understand there are two springs it must hold in place, rather than the single one the AR grip secures. I'm not sure if any mil-spec grip will work, or if there are specific ones better suited to the 15-22.

Thanks,

Rick

What about a grip with adjustable front and back straps like the Magpul MIAD?

I've got a FAB Defense AGR43 on mine which is really nice but its not a massively large grip, but way bigger than the terrible A2 grip that comes as standard.

Words of warning!

I didn't like my grip either and swapped it out with the same one I have on my AR-15 and the rear take-down spring stopped working. put the original back on and still not working. Customer support sent me a couple springs but they were the wrong ones. After taking my grip off 20 times I managed to cross thread the plastic upper threads. great.

Customer support told me to send it in.

However to my surprise they aren't going to fix it for free. Charging me 191 bucks to fix it because I screwed it up. What erks me is they are charging Time and material rates for repair and even 45 bucks to range test it. Thanks S&W for the great service and cheap plastic threads for the lower.

I'm just pissed. sorry.

good to know. I'll be careful. I finally decided to use a Hogue grip since it's the same one I have on my AR. It's not the perfect angle, but I like the finger grips and the size. Besides it will give me some consistency with the feel when changing from rifle to rifle.

Thanks for your helf all, and especially the warning!

ATI Scorpion Grip.

Little more bulky in hand than a Hogue.

Very nice to hold and use.

I really like the look of the 'Tactical Dynamics skeletonized grip with paracord'. If i had to swap my Hogue, i would probably opt for that. Probably will at some point in the future, when the $ crashes :p $110 is pretty steep as it would translate to around £88, not paying that for a grip. That's if i could even get one this side of the pond
