What is the best Anti Walk Pin Kit for the 15-22? I am seeing Gen 1 and Gen 2 references. Mine has the serial #HCD33xx. It is a PC (Performance Center). Thank You All!

It's been awhile since I picked up the anti walk pins. But I'm pretty sure the gen2 just have a wider, stronger connecting bar. That's the bar on the outside of the receiver.

A lot of folks will argue that the A.W. pins are unnecessary, and that's probably true. I've always thought that they sure as heck can't hurt, since this type can't rotate either. But for me, these things are great, since the connecting bar gives your trigger finger a nice resting place. There's nice positive trigger finger feedback, when it's resting on that bar. Feels very natural, almost like that was its true purpose.

And I'm telling you all that, to tell you this. I prefer the thinner type, the gen1. I'm sure the other one works well also, but I was able to try the fatter one, and I didn't like it as well. And IMHO, the fatter bar solves a non existent problem. At least it's that way for the15-22. YMMV

KNS Gen 2 Mod 2

I have 3 sets in different rifles. Work perfectly and just look the business.

Still do not know about the Gen 1 and Gen 2 from KNS. I figure that the 15-22 has the same dimensions from the beginning of production until now. Is it just a difference from KNS manufacturing or are there differences in the receivers? Thank you all!

KNS only. Their changes included the side plates, going from hex screws to torx, etc.

If I remember correctly...there are also differences between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the other add ons they will work with....like an Extended Mag Release. I have the Gen 2 and also a Magpul EMR and it works perfectly. Unless you plan on adding a specific EMR then I would guess it would be a purely aesthetic choice. For me the Gen 2 wins hands down.

Installation is a breeze, even though Hiperfire (the company) don't recommend putting Anti walk/rotation pins...I have noticed no difference with them installed in my Hiperfire 24C.

I was never worried about my pins walking...never showed any signs of doing so...I liked the look, they really finish off the receiver and the fact that they do stop walking pins , well it's a win-win. :)
