Remington 552 Speedmaster. Looks good, shoots good, feels good.
My first gun was a Speedmaster. Love them. When you find one that isn’t finicky.

By far the most fun for the money.... Ruger 10/22, Tactical Solutions barrel, reworked trigger, Pilot suppressor and custom stock. Shoot all day for $5.00.
Three shot groups inside a dime all day long at 25 yards.
I had my Dad's Remington Speedmaster 552 and I gave it to my Grandson who turned 10 today.Remington 552 Speedmaster. Looks good, shoots good, feels good.
Only have one semi auto 22 rifle, a Winchester model-490. My most desired would be a Winchester model-63.
A tad under 0.75". Believe I can get real close with either the 10/22 or 15-22 at 25 "meters". Benched of course. Body's too beat up otherwise.A $1500+ 10-22 should shoot dimes at 100yd
It may seem odd of me to post this in a 15-22 forum, but my favourite semi auto 22lr....is actually the 15-22.
In the interest of fairness I have shot, lots of 10/22s factory and tricked out. Pretty much all of the 22lr 'black' rifles (HK, Sig, Beretta, Remington, Anschutz) I have yet to have a go on the GSG german variants, stg 44 and mp40. They look like fun. But yeah......the 15-22. No comparison.
