This is the optic that comes with the M&P 15-22 package deal. 4 Moa red/green dot. What can anybody tell me about it? Who makes it? Will it stand up to something more powerful than a .22? Value? Opinions?
There's one for sale here locally pretty cheap. I'm just wondering if its worth buying?

I believe it's one of the budget UTG optics. I'm not sure it will stand up to anything more than a 22lr over the long haul.

I know some folks that have tried the budget UTG branded ones and most didn't survive long term use on a centerfire rifles.

It's a $60 Chinese optic. I wouldn't be taking it into combat or anything else with consequences. That said, I've handle them and they certainly seem decent enough for range play with a .22.
