Who makes IDPA legal holsters for a tac light equiped both 4" and 5" M&P Pro or any 5" long light equiped handgun for that matter. Was all sat to buy a 5" Pro for IDPA, but was told by a member of my gun club few if any companies makehholsters for light equipped guns with 5" barells.

Thanks,

I just ended up going with custom leather holsters for my full sized m&p .40 with a viridian x5l green laser light...I could not find anything that would fit...that didn't either look, or look and feel cheap and crappy....

I get asked for those occasionally. The problem is they are a pain in the backside to make and not something a lot of people want. Add that to purchasing the mold for every light (The retention has to be on the light itself).

So, for example to make one for you in the shop I would need a mold for a 5" pro and a mold for the light which is give or take $120 + materials for something I would make very occasionally and spend a lot of time getting right. I would probably do it for total cost of materials, but that's still damn expensive for a holster.

For the big holster makers, they would need molds for every combination and then minimum production runs for something that isn't very popular when you can sell standard Glock and M&P holsters all day every day.

The place I would try is Multi Guns (It says lasers but if you scroll down you will get to the lights):

Multi Holsters ~ Quality Custom KYDEX Gun Holsters for Inside, Outside, Multi 2-in-1 Inside/Outside Waistband & Mag Holders - Crimson Trace Lasers

These guys make the molds so I would be shocked if they didn't have your combination to hand.

I bought one of the KT 5" X300 combos. Thought I would carry it in the winter but ended up going with the FS combo instead. Fairly nice, but since I no longer use the 5", I'd be willing to get rid of it for a good price. PM if you're interested.

Many Kydex holsters offer light packages. BladeTech does many different, CompTac has a few, but a lot of the lesser known companies will also do it. My favorite is www.whitedogholsters.com, but his website is down as he is currently deployed. As someone else mentioned though, you can't use a light in a normal IDPA course, so it sounds like you'll need more than one holster (as most of us do).
