Looking to purchase one and looking for some suggestions. Also do you need to shoot a specific ammo through it?

If I could use the same suppressor on a 15-22, that would be a plus.

I have an AAC Prodigy and love it but if I was buying now I would get a SilencerCo SS Sparrow.

AAC Element 2, quiet (no FRP), easy to clean and will work well on your pistols and rifles.

I've been researching .22 suppressors recently, and everyone has pointed me to the AAC Element 2. That's probably what I'll end up with.

I have a Spectre II that I bought on recommendation. I liked it and recently buy a Warlock II, a lighter version of the Spectre (the stamp should be back in 4 more weeks).

I'd like to try a Sparrow, and a few others mentioned here, but I don't know anyone that has a suppressor or a business that lets you try them.

I bought a warlock2 . It is my first suppressor . Comes apart and is easy to clean.

I like both the Spectre II, and xCaliber Genesis on my 22C. The Genesis is the quietest can I own, and super light.

Sparrow or Spectre. Maybe even the Axiom. No other rimfire cans are easier to clean than these (inner tube is protected from lead/carbon fouling).

I got side tracked on another AR build so I want to move forward with my silencer purchase. Anything new or any other suggestions since I last asked?

I have a sparrow and really like it. I had a m&p 22 compact for a while and it worked fine as a host, not as quiet as other hosts like a 1911-22 or P226 in 22, but it functioned flawless even on standard velocity ammo. Some semi-auto 22's can be ammo fussy but the s&w seemed really good. Also, sparrow works great on a 15-22.

Really any of the popular suppressors do the job very good, just some differences on first round pop and construction. The mono-core like a sparrow uses give a bit of a pop on the first round but they are easy to clean. I found the first round pop goes away with a bit of wire pulling gel to run the sparrow wet, and that does not run out or spray back at you like using water.

Mine shoots everything I put in it, including a .22 Long, which got in by mistake. It sent the round down range but the empty shell casing stayed in the chamber. I have no plans to get a silencer.

Can you even still buy that?
