Any problems shooting lead thru m&p shield. I reload and am thinking about going to lead projectiles for costs savings.

I would try plated bullets first. I used to shoot a lot of lead, but got tired of the cleaning chores afterwards. Also, there's the lead vapor / health risks to think about. I almost never tried plated bullets because I kept reading about poor accuracy on forums but decided to try it anyway. Very glad I did. I now ONLY reload target loads with plated bullets and never have any leading. I now use plated bullets in 2 calibers and will never go back to lead. Clean up in a breeze, accuracy is outstanding and a great load was very easily discovered. The plating is a LOT tougher than what some people claim it is too. I use Berry's plated bullets, and the cost of them is not much more than lead. Since the bullet base is plated, there's no lead vapor to worry about either.

I also use berry's plated bullets. I like to shoot alot. Just trying to cut cost a little more

I shoot Bayou (.356) and Blue Bullets (.355) which are coated lead. No smoke and no lead build up in the barrel. About $70/1000 and are more accurate in my M&P and CZ than plated. They need a light taper crimp to just knock down the bell. The Hi Tech coating stays on even after hitting steel.

No problem shooting lead in your Shield, but for just a little more and a lot less potential cleanup a coated or plated bullet may make things a little more enjoyable. I shoot some Berry and Rainer, but a lot of Extreme plated bullets the price on average is better. with lead or plated just take it easy on crimping, a heavy crimp can quickly undue a lead or plated bullet and cause accuracy issues.

Good luck

All my 9mm Shield has eve had through it are my cast lead reloads - never had an issue and they shoot just great. I've never had a leading problem in the barrel nor any other issues. Slug your barrel and size your cast to fit. I tumble lube in Alox/Paste Wax and usually load over either Bulls
Eye or Red Dot. Why should there be any more "clean up" than with factory ammo? If there is, then you need to change something with your cast such as sizing, etc.
