Will S&W start producing a 45 Cal. Shield? Seems like a good idea to me.

The only problem I can see would be the 4 rd mag. Lol

I'd bet they won't.

For S&W to do a .45 version of the Shield, they would (pretty much) need to redesign it from the ground up in order to handle the .45. SA on the other hand started with the XD-S in .45, THEN added the 9mm and .40, which is a LOT easier to do.

Something tells me that if S&W saw the potential for great sales, they would have already done a .45 version by now.
