I'm thinking about purchasing some rubber grips. Anyone using BooDads? How do you like them? I'm sure this has been discussed before but my phone wouldn't let me search for it so I figured I'd ask. Sorry

I put them on my Shield a few weeks ago. I love them! They're easy to put on, are made out of the same stuff as Talon grips, and hold up very well. It makes holding my Shield a lot easier, but barely adds any width to the pistol. I highly recommend them.

Just remember after you install them to use a hairdryer to secure them even more so. That's a very important step.

Thanks for asking. I never heard of them before. Off to google...

Hadn't heard of them before, but compared to the newly redesigned Talon grips for the Shield, the BooDads look like they will have a seam that meets on the backstrap area. In my experience this isn't good for long-term durability in hot/sweaty range conditions. That back seam on my old-design Talons started to move around after about 7-8 months as sweat, skin oil and thousands of fired rounds took their toll.

Talon redesigned theirs to put an overlapped seam on the front of the grip (like their Glock product). So far I'm impressed with the difference of the redesign on my Shield.

Bottom line--for the few extra dollars, I'd go for the redesigned Talons over the Boodads.

Thanks for all the input. I will check out talon before I.order anything.

I have some BooDad's sitting here in front of me waiting to be put on my Shield.

I had some of the early model Talon Grips and they came loose, so I figured I'd give BooDad's a try this time. I consider a "stick-on" item, especially on a pistol grip which has to endure sweat and cleaning solutions, to be a somewhat routinely replaced item.

Another manufacturer of stick-on grip tape I read about is Traction Grips.

I have them on 3 guns. Excellent and cheaper than Talon!
