sear release lever loose

I noticed that the lever has a lot of slop when not under tension.
It's like the hole in it is quite a bit bigger than the diameter of the pin it rides on. It allows the lower "finger" of the lever to drop down beside the slim tail of the trigger bar preventing the bar to snap all the way back into place until the trigger is pulled again. The bar snaps off of the upper part of the lever that it engages, and gives an audible and functional reset. But as I pull the trigger the next time, the bar snaps under the "finger" and it makes another click like the reset, only maybe not quite as distinct. So, I rack and pull the trigger all the way back, and then slowly release it..."click", then rack the slide and slowly pull the trigger and..."click" just a tad before the trigger breaks.
Said all this to ask,,,is the release lever supposed to be wobbly?
I have another one one on order, and will see if it looks the same. If so, I'll have to slightly bevel the side of that "finger" so it doesn't hang up on the tail of the bar. Any advice, ideas, or information much appreciated.

It depends how you define "wobbly".
I can move it freely with my finger. But it doesn't do any sound when I shake the frame.

It's not big enough to make any noise. It's loose enough that the problem occurs relative to which way the muzzle is pointed, Up or down.

Are you sure this part sits properly on the pin? Have you ever disassembled sear assembly? If all is setup correctly actuator should be under sear's tension. It can be moved a little by finger, but shouldn't move by itself.

Check this video... actually only the small part, where actuator is mounted. Perhaps you will find any differences in your setup:

jurek, thanks for the reply. Sorry for the lack of info in the initial post. As you can tell by the number of posts I've made in 9 years, I don't do a lot of posting in forums. I'm usually able to find what I need by lurking,, and I don't have the knowledge, or can't remember enough to contribute a lot to the forums. Someone said "getting old is not too bad, it's just very inconvenient sometimes" :)
I've looked at most all of the "Apex" videos, and many, many more trying to figure this thing out. It's very hard to explain in a post without pictures. Yes, I've had the gun apart several times. Installed the apex sear, and the USB kit. The "actuator" was like this the first time I took the slide off. I will see if I can get a picture of the situation. It's hard to get the camera in a position to see it very well. I'll update, thanks again.

couldn't get a good pic. I took the "Actuator" out and fine stoned the edge
very slightly at a 45 deg angle. Polished it out, and polished the edge of the trigger bar "rat tail", and VOILA, cured the problem. I suppose that several hundred rounds of live and dry fire would have eventually worn it down, but I don' have the money for wasting ammo, or the time to reload that many rounds just to make the gun function as it should.
Thanks to all for the help.

Glad you fixed the problem !
It's also a good idea to use sandpaper 1000 - 1200 and Flitz paste to polish slide stop lever and whole trigger bar. This small job make the pistol really nice shooter...
Next step would be APEX trigger and sear :D...and you have the best polymer handgun ever made

I've polished all the metal to metal areas. The apex sear and USB smoothed it out more. The pull weight is fine. If it gets any lighter, I may have to put apex spring in. It is going to be my carry gun. I don't mind the "take up" since it is smooth, and the wall is easy to feel. The break is amazingly crisp. I just thought my other s&w's had good triggers. Thanks again.
