I just purchased and received my new Shield in .45 ACP on Friday. It is the base version with standard sights and stock trigger.

After a good cleaning and inspection, I took it to a friends for testing with target 200 FP's and defense 185 HP's hand loads yesterday morning.

Sights were a bit off to the right from factory and I ended up drifting the rear sight about .02" and now it is dead nutz on.

So far it has exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with this pistol in every way. I prefer the flush magazine (for concealment) and bought a second one at my local LGS.

In my Shield 2.0 9mm, I have been using a Magguts spring kit in with the flush mag and it has functioned without issue.

After sending an email to Magguts, they responded that a +1 spring kit is "in the works" for the Shield 45. Not sure if that will manifest any time soon but I will gladly get one for sure.

My Tier1 holster is (hopefully) being fashioned as I type and should be on the way to me before too long.

I understand that the Shield 45 has been available for quite some time but wanted to share my positive experience here :)

I’ve had my 45 Shield since hey first came out, before they renamed it a 2.0. It’s been 100%. My wife likes it more and shoots it better than her 1.0 9mm Shield.

You’ll love it!

I have a ported performance center 2.0. 500 rounds trouble free very accurate just not fun to shoot after 50 rounds at one time.

I've carried the .45 daily the last 3 years and preferred it over the 9mm Shield. I did have a PC.40 Shield that I liked almost as well as the .45 though.

Recently sold the .45 Shield to a friend though and am now carrying a Hellcat 9mm.
Not because I didn't like the Shield a lot, but it was the only .45 I had and I wanted to just concentrate on stocking 9mm, and I have lots of 9mm.

I've had one since they first came out as well. Never a problem with any ammo I've had in it, including reloads, accurate to boot. It's a fine pistol as far as the "plastic" ones go. I think you'll like it a whole bunch!

I have this and shield plus 9mm and like the 45 better, very accurate and a pleasure to shoot picking up a 10mm 2.0 4" tonight and see how that is
