I just purchased and received my new Shield in .45 ACP on Friday. It is the base version with standard sights and stock trigger.
After a good cleaning and inspection, I took it to a friends for testing with target 200 FP's and defense 185 HP's hand loads yesterday morning.
Sights were a bit off to the right from factory and I ended up drifting the rear sight about .02" and now it is dead nutz on.
So far it has exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with this pistol in every way. I prefer the flush magazine (for concealment) and bought a second one at my local LGS.
In my Shield 2.0 9mm, I have been using a Magguts spring kit in with the flush mag and it has functioned without issue.
After sending an email to Magguts, they responded that a +1 spring kit is "in the works" for the Shield 45. Not sure if that will manifest any time soon but I will gladly get one for sure.
My Tier1 holster is (hopefully) being fashioned as I type and should be on the way to me before too long.
I understand that the Shield 45 has been available for quite some time but wanted to share my positive experience here
