Default M&P Metal

Are the slides on the metal and the 2.0 interchangeable?

I don't think so. In this video, Jerry says its similar, but not the same.

That stinks because I fit my compact slide on the metal. Didn’t shoot it just test for it and man I think it looks sharp.

Cleaned and ready for the range. I really like that Smith fixed the slide release for a left handed shooter. It actually works. Going to be my first pistol with a red dot on it.

I saw a few frames for sale on Gunbroker & they have a grey polymer frame for $54.99

removed

THESE ARE NOT AN AUCTION; THEY ARE BUY IT NOW PRICES
Got a spanking for giving the links to these sales
I didn't follow the rules

Have been thinking about buying a Shield Plus frame from these guys & making a M2.0 into a Plus for $69.99??? + magazines which I already have
Look at, see sellers' other items & you will note several stripped M&P Frames available, these would require an FFL & paperwork

Just something I thought I'd through out there for you

Nice looking pistol @markmiela, I haven't come across one in the flesh myself YET!

If Jerry M. is excited, it must be a great pistol
I met him once & shot against him on the steel plates with a Glock 17L
He was very nice & loved my S&W 940 reamed to 38 Super & wanted to buy it because it was SO SWEET! I passed but the offer meant something to me as I had done the action job & shimmed the internals + Wolff Springs & Craig Spegal Cocobolo Grips

Thanks for the info and thanks on the pistol. Can’t wait to shoot it.

I got to fondle a 2.0 Metal at my gun range. Couldn't stop drooling. Love it. If it shoots as good as it feels then I am set with a new carry gun.

I handled one today. It felt great. The new flat trigger is a HUGE improvement over the Smith hinged crescent trigger.

I've found the Leupold Delta Point Pro with the 2.5 dot to my liking. I have put them on other guns and like it on the 2.0 Metal. As you can see the previous M&P's were adapted with a dovetail mount which is fine but the optics ready update is slick. I will get a threaded barrel as soon as one is available. None of my normal suppliers have a 4.25".

I have been looking at the DPP but not sure on the battery life. My LGS says get the Eotech Eflx but you can’t find them.

Auto shut off after 5 minutes if the gun is not moved and turns back on when you move it. Can also be shut off manually and remain off until manually turned back on. This might not be good for a carry gun but my carry guns are iron sights. At least you can't forget to turn it off and burn the battery!

I have the Vortex Venom coming, now I just have to wait for the gun store to get them in. Was told that they had 5 on order and 3 were already spoken for. Hoping that the Urban Carry OWB holster will still work with the Venom on it. Might just have to transfer my Leupold DeltaPoint Micro to it if the Venom is too big.

I've seen the DP micro advertised but not seen in person. My impression is that it is quite small and might not be as quick to acquire a sight picture as a conventional red dot or even iron sights. What is your experience?
