Default Got the new 2.0 Competition pistol from S&W

Just picked up, she definitely needs a new trigger stock trigger is ok, but it's not ideal for competition purposes. Super long pretravel, looooong~

Time for a Flat Face Apex

Nice! I’ve liked the looks of that since launch. Surprised on the trigger as I really like the M&P 2.0 Metal trigger. While not great, it is much better than the 1.0’s.

Congratulations of a beautiful M&P. I'm currently looking for a two tone Competitor.

I can't understand why S&W can't come up with a really decent trigger on their own, at least for what they call a competition pistol.

If Apex can do it, then S&W should be able to do it. If nothing else, S&W should start offering the Apex trigger in the Competitor models from the factory as part of the package. It can't be because of safety concerns because the Apex trigger passes all safety standards.

If S&W is going to sell a pistol with the sole intention of labeling it a model ready for competition, then by golly it should be ready.

Don't know why but, the front end of the slide turns me off. I am looking to get the 2.0 Metal non-competition.

i like a good trigger as well and have Apex in some of my M&P's. I installed them because the old trigger was like most other stock triggers...works fine but too much travel and too heavy for target use.

But I like the new trigger much better and will not be replacing it in my non-competition version. Sure it's not a competition trigger but it is quite good. Mine is at 4.5 lbs and is as good or better than any other stock trigger out there IMHO. For those who will actually compete with it I don't think a manufacturer can go too far with the trigger and charge the upgraded price because you could never make all the competition shooters happy with any one choice. Keep the price down a bit and let them put in their favorite. I think the trigger it comes with will satisfy the average shooter quite well. A person isn't going to find a new finished competition pistol for 1k.

I think Smith has a winner with the new metal series.
