Long story short, I picked up a new M&P Compact Carry Comp at the range today while waiting for a lane. Didn’t have a lot of time to shoot it but did run 50 rounds of S&B 124 FMJ. I took the gun right out of the box with no clean and lube. Shooting offhand at 7 yards. Trigger a little gritty on take up but a clean break. Short, audible reset. Felt really good in my hand with medium blackstrap.

First mag produced a ragged 2-1/2 hole. When finished the box I had one big hole I could cover with my hand. First S&W pistol I’ve ever with the sights dead on — shot right to POA. Impressive for a quick impromptu run.

It did feel to me like the comp was having an impact. I’ve shot comped guns before and thought it was a marketing gimmick, but on this pistol recoil felt a little lighter. There were zero malfunctions.

Overall, Im really pleased. Don’t know if I was just lucky and got a good one but this baby is the bomb! Soft shooting, accurate and reliable. Also lightweight. One more good range session with some defensive ammo and my Glock 19 is going in the safe.
