I'm thinking about putting a drop in Troy rail on my Colt LE6920, I like the MOE handguard it came with but I like the look and sturdiness that a metal quad rail has to offer. Plus I get tired of taking the handguard off to mount grips and rail sections etc

Anyone have any thoughts on those?

I'm also considering free floating with a 13in alpha rail, but I don't have the time or tools, much less experience to cut the FSB and delta ring. So that's a knock on it. I'm leaning towards drop in.

Thanks!

I ran a Troy Drop-in Battle Rail before I swapped it out for a Daniel Defense free-floater. It worked well and was very each to install. Here are some comments I had about it....

The key to a good free float is how solid she seats. The Troy is a great rail, so you should have no problem with it. Quality rails are the way to go. I have a Knights Armament drop in and it's rock solid quality, love it.
