Just about anything other than a custom ejection port cover can be put on a Sport. It's just another AR-15.

If you are like me you probable are going to put a lot of money in your Sport. You will find that there will be a lot out there that will work with the AR platform. Go explore, it is a addiction.

Sport owners should start a "How much $$$ have you spent on your sport" thread.

Don't you need a removable trigger guard to slip that on? This is one of those things that are more tacticool than functional IMO, and serve absolutely no purpose.

the prerequisite ten second google search to keep in line with the forum guidelines......hyperbole not withstanding!

There are pics of Sports in the picture thread wearing one of these, and the 10 second google search does turn up several more pics and video...

This particular one has three screws that hold it in place... just clamps around the mag well. And I agree... not something I would add, but to each their own...

Not my cup of team but I can see how it could be useful for someone who uses the magwell as a grip.

I've seen too many folks say that they had to take a dremel to it to get it to fit, and that it affected the ability for their mags to drop freely...

Mako MWG
Well got mine in today and installed, was a tight fit but got it on there even used lock tight 242 blue, I did not have to file or dremel off anything. It went on tight but I like that, lets me know its on there. When installing it noticed that if u try to install it straight together its not going to snap together correctly. I put the nut side on first, then put on the other half like a hinge. starting with the top screw front then the bottom screw front, then last the rear screw by the trigger guard. I kept tightening each one in that same pattern until the where all snug. Here is a pic of it installed looks great
Also the mags still fall straight out when it push the mag release button. I think it helps add in reloading too.

How does it function inserting magazines? What exactly are your applications for this? How often are you in close quarters clearing rooms?

MAKO MWG
I live in a small trailer, this helps aid in moving the weapon around my house. Also when I use my bi-pod my hand goes to the mag well for support I thought this would work better if I had something there to grab onto instead of the mag. I have that Red dot you see there in the pics I also have a scope for it, but at this time it is on my buddies rifle so he can try it out to see if he likes it.
For inserting mags it seems to give a wider mouth opening to help aid in the mag into locking stage, I seem not to miss the opening as easy as before when reloading without looking. In all the feel of it is great, does not hinder the magazines at all from inserting, I even use the Magpul 2gen mag that came with it and the 30 round Tapco mags and it took them even better than the magpul 30 round one.

I have shot a AR M&P 15 sport before purchasing this one, that one I fired I put over 1000 rounds through it that day, that is what made me want to purchase one of these gems. That was about a year ago. No I have not shot this weapon yet but the one I did shoot had all the same gear on it. That is kinda why I am setting mine up like the one I shot a yr. ago, liked how it performed and even the red dot and that scope all performed that day great! We where using metal mags and plastic ones from usgi to magpul and tapco mags. It had one of those hand guard front grips that popped into a bi-pod, I have one but not in these pic, when I got it is was damaged and it is at the gunsmiths getting fixed.
Yes this is my first owned Ar15 platform rifle but I have shot them before several times in the past.

Well I got it to the range and put a little over 350 round thru it, both 5.56/.223, I discovered that it really likes the PMC .223 brass rounds. It was kinda picky with the 5.56mm independence ammo. Shot the Winchester 5.56 well also. I really enjoyed shooting it and this time I did not have to give it back, it's mine
I had just 2 failures to feed and it was with the magpul mag that came with the rifle, on both failures it was that same mag, I am not impressed with that magazine by Magpul. I also use Tapco Intrafuse mags and they worked flawlessly, I pick them up for 14.00-16.00 buck at my local sporting goods store. I think I might have bought them all..

Sometimes you get a lemon, it happens. You will hear people talk smack about the GI mags, Tapco mags etc...but others will swear by them. One thing I did notice with P mags, is that my gun runs better and the magazine seats easier when my bolt is back before I insert the mag.....strange, only happens with P mags!

Thanks, I will try that the next time I shoot, open the bolt and insert mag. I just put on a Magpul B.A.D lever and it will work great for this. Thanks
