Just picked up this plug for the pistol grip on my Sport II !
I was planning on being removable, storing a few small items in it or at least just plug the hole to keep junk out! :O . Minor problem is it falls out after 60 rounds. Anyone use one? Ideas t keep it removable? I was thinking of adding a few O rings to see if that helps! If not Black Silicone :O
(FYI I kept the wise cracks about the plug to myself so I do not get a Demerit point or banned lol )
Thanks

I went with a cleaning kit from Armalite to plug the hole and have something to clean the rifle some in the field. M-15™ 5.56 Otis Pistol Grip Cleaning Kit - Armalite

It really depends on what you are looking to store in the grip. I also got a Magpul STR butt stock for additional on the rifle storage. Batteries, broken shell extractor, ballistic tables, whatever.

It depends on what money you have and what you are willing to spend.

As far as the plug, o-rings might work. Maybe a rubber band? I've noticed with the cleaning kits, that different grips have different sized holes depending on the manufacturer. One grip, the kit would not fit and in a couple others, it fit just fine.

If you're spending $7-10 on a plug to me it would make more sense to just buy a complete Ergo SureGrip, they're about $20 come with a really solid fitting grip plug and are about 100x nicer to hold than an A2 grip.

if you like the plug other than the fit you could drill a hole in the plug from top to bottom and put a flathead screw and a nut and washer inside to adjust the fit.

Great idea like a expandable plug

If color was an issue, head down to the local bike shop and grab a Kawasaki KLR 650 side cover screw (I'm pretty sure a black 5/32 allen fits; and a black trim washer for the outside portion of the compression plug gadget-oohickie... It'd be all black then. None of the shiny home-made screw and washer ugliness.... (unless that was the goal) :D

That is a good idea! I 'll have to look in my parts box as I have alot on nuts and bolts off my Kawasaki and Hondas :)
