Here is my latest fun gun. I don't think it qualifies as a rifle but here it is anyway.

Before and after of the M&P15 I just completed last night after picking up the lower receiver from local FFL. It's a Tiger Stripe Desert Digital hydrofinish. I am in love with how it turned out!

It was done by Shark Bite Custom in Florida with a process called Hydrofinishing, water transfer process, hydrographing, etc. Quite a few names for the process really.
The color is Desert Digital. Sorry for the ****** picture. It was taken with my iPhone.

did they hydrofinish your upper and lower or did they swap them out, the before pic shows a Sport upper and the after pick shows an M4 upper, I put an M4 engraved upper on mine so please know that I am not flaming you, she is absolutely gorgeous, just wondering.

No problem... A buddy of mine knew I was interested in an upper with FA and dust cover, and he wanted my Sport upper for a budget build for his wife's first long gun. So I worked out a deal on a Rainier Arms upper and had that dipped with the M&P Sport lower.

My new addition to a growing collection. It shoots like a dream, much more accurate than I am.
No that is not a real can on the end.

Now that I have camo'd my shooting table and chair I need to find someone relatively local that can hydrodip my CyberSport, that way I can set up in all my camo gear and coyote hunt and pdog hunt right off of my table. She is a beauty!! turned out real nice. thanks for showing her to us.

Almost finished
Mine is almost complete. I plan on adding a cheaper red dot sight, otherwise it's done. Added Magpul accessories in the foilage green. Liked it better than the others, and don't see many in that color.

And the S&W obsession grows ...
So I started fairly small, with the purchase of a 3rd Gen. 4567 semi-auto pistol. Then, to keep my wife happy, I picked up an SD9 VE. So far, so good. But I really like the looks of the SW1911, so off I went to purchase an SW1911 Pro two-tone. Since the score was now two to one, my wife needed a CC pistol, so I purchased an M&P 9c for her. Alas, the hunger wasn't satisfied. My brother-in-law let me shoot his 2nd Gen. 645, and now I had to have one, which I now do. Five pistols should do it.
But what about the zombies, you say? Pistols can only waste so many of the undead. Exactly! What did my LGS have in the rack this afternoon? An M&P15OR 5.56mm (811003) that seemed just perfect for piffing brain munchers. And here she is:
I added a UTG red/green dot sight and burned through 200 rounds of 55 grain Aguila .223 in what felt like 15 minutes. MAN I love the sound of this AR-15! The teeny-tiny holes it makes in paper -- as compared to my .45ACP 1911 -- will take getting used to, but that supersonic *BANG* is awesome.
I've got 1000 rounds of Federal American Eagle 5.56mm NATO ammo on order from Midway USA. When it arrives, I should be set ... for a while.

No problem, I highly recommend Jerry @ Shark Bite Custom in Florida. His attention to detail is second to none and the work he did blew me away when I first opened the package and saw my new rifle parts. I can still sit and look at the darn thing all day long! Plus, it has been beat up pretty good and the finish does not have one blemish. He put multiple coats of matte clear coat on it and it sealed the finish amazingly well.

i have that exact scope... how well does it hold zero for you... mine gets iffy after a few range sessions but the adjustment is usually small... just enough to annoy me lol

NEW QUAD RAIL AND VERTICAL GRIP-POD..... i love it so far, its a little heavier but also feels more solid.. the original plastic hand guard had some wiggle to it that drove me nuts... but the grip pod tightens up nicely and feels much better for my shooting style.. i used to grip the mag well.. i feel more planted with this thing on there

We've only been out to the range with it a few times, but haven't noticed any drift; at least not compared to my personal accuracy.
Do you have the rail screws torqued down to 35 in-lbs? I found that this is a bit more snug than you'd expect when using the supplied Allen wrench.

-Magpul Pmags
-Magpul B.A.D. lever

I got the crazy idea recently to build myself another rifle. I've been hunting locally for stripped lowers to start the build of my lower (I already found an upper that suited my needs. For grins I stopped by my neighborhood LGS yesterday to look at their stock and what did I stumble across... a M&P15PC complete lower! So now I have a growing family of M&P15 rifles (and a M&P15-22 to keep them company)...
My new (and now complete) M&P15PC:
It's slightly older cousin:

One of mine... went with my son yesterday to the range to test his first rifle... he had a lot of fun making that metal can dance!! Anyway... my M&P is in the photo...
I used to have a red dot installed on the AR-15 and then got a set of iron sights... can't hit squat with the iron sights and can't seem to get them setup correctly, almost given up on those...need to get a scope, searching the forum for recommendations on inexpensive units that work well.

- Troy Industries Folding Rear Battle Sight
- Blackhawk 2-Point Sling
All I have to do now is laser bore sight both rifles and get to the range to make final adjustments to the sights.

Here are a couple low q pics of mine. And yes, I know the scope mount is on backwards - I was in a mega rush to get her all together, cause I have patience issues. Better q pics to come later.

Is that the standard height magnifier mount? I like the way it looks. My x-mas list may be getting some additions

It looks higher than a lot I've seen. It's a "TMS AR15 Flat Top One Piece Ring Mount" I picked up on Amazon.

JaPes,
What about your mount, is it standard height? I like absolute co-witness, so I'd like to find a magnifier mount that would allow that if I can. My wife has approved all of my presents for my Sport. This scares me, I don't know what she want but I'll go with it while I can
I'll post before and after pics of my sport after x-mas, so you guys can see what you made me do

The dot is mounted on a PA high cantilever mount. The magnifier is on a PA standard height swing away mount. Looking through my irons, the red dot hovers at the center of the optic.
