I installed the Apex Trigger and Spring Kit in a S&W Sigma SW9VE. This is the older model, not the oldest or the new SD9 series. PLEASE NOTE!
I followed instructions per the video at:
I noted the dialog said the trigger install was included in the video, but it was not, or it had been removed.
After considerable effort in reassembly, I completed the install and tested the gun. With the Apex trigger it followed badly. I couldn't fire the pistol without manually recocking the striker.
After removing the Apex trigger and reinstalling the factory trigger I tested the trigger pull, using my Lyman electronic trigger pull gauge and an 8 lb weight to avoid the 12 lb limit. The spring kit had improved the trigger pull by less than 7 oz: 14lbs 4 oz average after install, before install 14 lbs 10.2 oz average.
The kit may work better on the SD, but I would avoid it on the SW9VE earlier model. Which is a pity, because I prefer the grip feel of the SW9VE to either of the SD model pistols and the SD models all have a better trigger pull than the SW9VE.
Standard disclaimers apply, as usual.
