I purchased a 908S off GB on Monday and just picked it up from my FFL.
IIt's in the original # box with papers & 2 mags. It looks to have been carried a lot and shot little.
I've already test fitted a 6906 complete slide I picked up cheep awhile ago (I don't care for the square slide on the value series) all I need now is a set of Hogue's and some extra mags.[emoji106]

Call me an unimaginative conformist if you like, but I like the look of the original slide on the gun much, much better. :D Then again, I am known for being an admirer of the raw "no frills/no ambi" look of the stainless steel value line guns... so take that into consideration. ;)

And if you ever want to sell that useless, homely, spare 908S slide, let me know! :D

Very nice find. That's a good looking pistol. I personally prefer the one-sided-lever, though.

I can take or leave the single sided safety, I just don't care for the squareness of the slide.

I swapped a 915 slide onto my 910 also.

I wouldnt worry about the looks as much as how the gun will perform, and I bet it will run like a clock. You got alot of 9mm for the money, thanks for the pics and info.

I will not sacrifice function for looks, but I swear the 910 runs better with the 915 slide.[emoji848]

I was actually looking for a 3913 but thought the asking prices were a little high.
I then stumbled onto the 908S.[emoji106]

Before you spend money on those fat Hogue grips for your 908S, try adding a little strip of something like this 3M tread tape to the front of the grip frame. Makes a big difference and keeps the slim lines of the original pistol.

Not my first rodeo, all my 3rd gens are sporting Hogues. But thanks for the suggestion.

That looks like what I need for my 3914. How thick is it? Can you layer it? Will it stick on the side panels, too?

Um, never tried to layer it or put it on the grip panels. I can tell you that it comes off easily when you want it to and doesn't leave a residue or mark.

Amazon sells this stuff and a roll is enough for a lifetime of experimentation. I've got it on several pistols and the tape is especially helpful in establishing that grip just at the point of unholstering.

I just got back from my first range trip with the 908S.

The pistol ran flawlessly with both the stock slide and the 6906 slide.[emoji106] I do however prefer a double stack pistol over the narrow single stack even with the "fat" Hogues.

Although the trip wasn't as smooth as I had hoped.
I had trouble inserting more than one of the mags. I removed the slide and discovered that the leading edge of the left feed lip was catching on the frame, a light clockwise twist of the bottom of the mag would help it clear the frame. Looks like I'll be removing the new grips to find a permanent solution to this issue.
