Been lurking for a while, but joined up because I picked up a new csx today. With rebate, promo code, and sale price, I had a csx shipped from Brownells to a local ffl for $408 total. It has the new white firing pin block and does not have the false reset early adopters reported. Feels really good in the hand and points naturally for me. I can't wait to sling some lead down range!

I have been thinking about getting one myself. I have shot a one a few different times and really like the way it feels in my hand. It was also very accurate for such a small gun. Let us know how it goes after yu take it to the range.

Love mine. If for some reason you don't like yours I will take it off your hands. Of course it will have to be at a reduced price as it would be used.:D

They have gotten a bad rap by the Performance Center crowd. I have put 300+ through it and have not had any issues. Just glad S&W is starting to go back to real guns:eek:

I picked one up a few weeks ago...still have to get it to the range to test it out. I want to shoot it alongside my Kimber Micro 9 and see which I like better.

They are a nice looking gun. Plus metal for a change and I like the price. Let us know how ya like it at the range.

As I've said here in various posts concerning the CSX, I had one for a short while but didn't like the trigger and could not shoot it accurately. But lately I heard rumors that more recent production CSX's have improved. I had a chance to handle a newer one at my LGS today and I'm happy to say it had a better trigger. I don't think it was my imagination — it had a short reset with a clear feel. I could not detect a false reset. So I'm thinking about giving the CSX another chance. To be continued…

I bought one used. My trigger is just fine, resets just fine. I think it could be lighter, but I am just going to shoot it now and see if I get better accustomed to it.

Only problem I have is I can't load the mags to full capacity. I also think the spacer on the 12 rounder is a bit silly.

I am so, so tempted to get one....but when I compare it to the S&W/Walther P99compact in .40 I carry -- the CSX is shorter in the slide by .5", but it's only .1" shorter in the grip; .2" smaller in the width; and just 1.5 oz lighter. And the mag capacity of the P99 is 8 while the CSX is 10, not a big deal at least for me. Plus the 99 is .40 vs 9m and SA/DA with a decocker and not SAO.

I just can't justify getting another gun for carry. (OK, that's a bit disingenuous as I've got a bunch of 3rd gen Smiths in 9 and 45 for carry).

Anyone else facing the same type of decision...replacing something perfectly fine and more than adequate with another something just as fine and perfectly adequate? (Now if I could find a nice "bargain" CS40 or 4013.....!)

Ah, but if S&W made the grip shorter, there would be howls of "I cannot get a three finger grip, the gun is too small". Look around the M&P semi and Other Firearms forums and you will come across multiple threads where somebody wants to make a subcompact gun bigger. It has me laughing out loud.

I have a Walther PPS M2, and with the "full concealment" mag (AKA short) I can only get a two-fingered grip. Can I shoot it well enough at self defence distances? Yes, I think so. It it ideal? No, but it does make the gun super concealable.

Just picked mine up from my local FFL today. Fit & feel are good. Been dry firing w/snap caps & hope to get out to the range later this week once the weather warms up. Looking forward to putting it thru it's paces & comparing it to my 365. One question I have for other owners, does the trigger lighten up any with use? Thanks!

I bought mine used. It was not used very much though. The trigger has lightened up since I bought it. Just a little dry firing.

Now if I could just get the last round in the magazine.

Got a chance to head to the gun club today. I have either owned or shot a Glock 43, original shield, Springfield xds 9, Springfield Hellcat, p365, p938, and Kimber micro 9. To me, this was the softest shooting a most natural pointing of the bunch. No issues while shooting close to 100 rounds between myself and two of my sons. It's a keeper for sure. The only two complaints I have are that the takedown pin is incredibly tight and difficult to get out and that my 13 year old shot it better than I did.
