After becoming satisfied from reading the discussions here in the forum that S&W emphasis would be on polymer frames and 1911's, I decided to invest in the 3rd generation pistols before they became scarce. I have purchased a "Brand New In Factory Case" 5906, an "Excellent To Like New" 4006, and an "Excellent To Like New" 4013 from CDNN. I am very pleased with each one and feel that all were very accurately described. My experience leads me to believe that if you deal with the same salesperson, they will hand select for you rather than just grabbing one off the shelf. There is a gentleman on the Ruger forum (don't ban me for mentioning them), that routinely mentions to ask for Seth. Stock up before November, just in case.

same with HK LE sales, they come with 3 mags, come direct from HK to the LE dealer, then to the end agency(AFAIK LE can not order direct from HK). same with S&W LE sales....at least with my local LE dealer, do to his LE/Mil contract with S&W, HK and others, he can not sell to the public as well he can only sell/stock certain S&W's per the contract....so he cant say order a 617 or what have you.

EVERY new LE S&W or Glock that I've ever purchased came with 3 mags, in a factory sealed box.

As a followup to my negative experience, I just received a mag/accessory order from CDNN that was flawless--shipped fast and they were very friendly and professional.

LE Blue Label sub compact glocks (26,27,33,39) only come with 2 (two) mags.

FWIW:

I received my S&W 3913LS a couple of days ago. I ordered it from my CDNN salesman (Neal Ray). It was advertised as NIB, and arrived that way.

NIB w/2mags & Lifetime warranty from S&W. $499.99 +shipping. ($22.50). This pistol's last advertised retail selling price was $909.00.

This is my third CDNN 3rd gen. S&W recently purchased and all three (5906/6906/3913LS)came NIB.

The 5906/6906 were mfg. in 2007, the LS 2/08.

I picked up my 6906 that my dealer got from CDNN a while back. The gun was unfired, made 4/27/06 and while the gun was not 100 % virgin pristine, it looked new with 2 1/2 years worth of handling from some point in it's life. Came with one LE marked mag papers and numbered box. At 10 yards, its a one hole shooter & for the $450 I paid for it, a bargin...Picked up 2 spare mags at the cop shop for 2 for $35, so I'm ahead on mags too...
